Good morning, Fabulous! It's a beautiful day. Well, if you take into consideration the fact that it's below zero degrees outside, you may disagree with me. However, today is day one of a new beginning. When thinking about where to start fresh in this journey, the first thing that pops into my mind is confidence. You must own the fact that you are fabulous if you want others to perceive you that way as well. I am a fairly confident person as it is, but I'd love to really feel good about myself all the time. What makes me self-conscious? What makes me uncomfortable? How can I change those things so that when I walk into a room, nothing is holding me back. Despite the fact that I've lost a ridiculous amount of weight this year, being a curvy girl has always held me back a little bit. I have about 20 more pounds to lose before I'm at my goal weight. Don't get me wrong, big is beautiful as well. I've just had a lot of personal struggle with being overweight my entire life. With losing my last 20 pounds, I will have proven that I can meet a goal. I will feel good about what I look like. I'll be able to finally purchase that new wardrobe I've been dreaming of. I'll feel sexier in front of my boyfriend. I really feel like my confidence will boost. Oh, and New Year's Eve is in a few days and I'm probably going to want to rock a hot sequined cocktail dress. How am I ever going to lose this last bit of weight? Well, it can't be that difficult, can it? I've already lost over 60 pounds! Yes, 60! 20 more is nothin'! Here is my plan.
I leave for work at 10:40 in the morning. If I wake up at 8:30 AM:
- Drink three tall glasses of water before work.
Before you shower:
50 jumping jacks
5 pushups
20 crunches
20 mountain climbers
30 second plank
I feel like this is a good place to start. The workout is quick and simple, but will still challenge my weak muscles. I really want to focus on getting into a morning routine, not overwhelming myself with a challenge I know I won't be able to keep up with. As a reward, each day I do my workout, I will put $1.00 in a little tip jar. As soon as I reach $100.00, I get to buy something special for myself, whether it be a new outfit, dinner with the boy, or a massage. Now
that's motivation!
- Have an organic vegan protein smoothie (I buy these at my local natural foods store), piece of fruit, or homemade juice for breakfast and chart it. I really don't need to be eating cinnamon rolls, cookies, leftover cold pizza, or anthing of that nature for breakfast if I want to lose weight. Making sure that my diet is in check will only assist me in my weight loss goal.
I'll keep you all posted on how everything is going. If you have any tips or good workouts, please feel free to comment. I'd love to hear your feedback. Have a wonderful day. I'll see you all in the fab lane.
